What Is Vy and How Do I Use It?

Vy is an AI assistant built into Vygo. Ask it what you need in your own words and it will suggest programs, events, mentors and resources that can help, or answer questions about using Vygo.

How do I use Vy?

1. Select Ask Vy at the bottom of the left menu
2. Type your question, for example "Is there a program to help with essay writing?" or "What events are on this week?"
3. Vy replies with suggestions. Each one has a button so you can Join program, Register or Start message straight away

If you ask how to do something in Vygo, Vy answers and links you to the help article it used. You can also write to Vy in your own language.

Your conversations are saved, so you can come back to them any time. You can use Vy in a side panel or full screen, and rate Vy's answers to help us improve it.

Why can't I see Vy?

Vy is a new feature that your university turns on for its students. If you cannot see it yet, it has not been switched on for your university.

Please note: Vy is not a counselling or crisis service. If you need urgent help, contact your university's support services or local emergency services. If you tell Vy you need urgent help, it will share local support contacts with you.
